Accreditation

The 30-month Master of Science Physician Assistant Program offered by Baylor College of Medicine consists of a 13-month didactic phase and a 17-month experiential learning phase inclusive of a Master’s Paper research project. The BCM PA Program was site visited as part of the review for continued accreditation in April 2011 by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). “The ARC-PA has granted Continued Accreditation to the Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine. Continued accreditation status is granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards. Continued accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next comprehensive review of the program by the ARC-PA will be September 2018.”
