African-Americans who have been successful at losing weight and keeping it off can help others do the same. Their journeys through weight loss can provide solutions to problems that are unique to African-Americans: how to manage your hair when you need to exercise; how to deal with family and friends who think you're sick or too thin because you've lost weight; how to show your family you love them without eating a second helping.

Sharing solutions to the weight-loss problem with one another will help us fight diabetes, high blood pressure, and stroke. Together we can achieve a healthier African-American community!

We are interested in learning about your weight-loss history. By sharing your weight history with us, we will be able to better understand what works and what does not work. Eventually we will design programs based on what works to help other African-Americans lose weight and keep it off.

You can help! If you are African-American and have ever lost weight you may be eligible to participate. Share your weight-loss history here. Together we can get control!
