Pink Ribbon House
The Pink Ribbon Housesm project is a unique and collaborative philanthropic experience dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research and patient care at the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine
The project itself involves the construction of a luxury home, designed with all the latest new home advantages and decorated in the finest design traditions. Funds are raised through home tours, corporate and individual sponsorships, and activities leading up to the tours, which take place in the spring every other year.

2012 marks sixth campaign for Pink Ribbon House
The 2012 Pink Ribbon House fundraiser has kicked off its sixth biennial campaign. Established in 2003 by the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center Advisory Council, the project has raised nearly $2.5 million for the Smith Breast Center.
"The Pink Ribbon House project has been an amazing vehicle for the Smith Breast Center in terms of increasing community awareness of what in 2003 was a new breast cancer clinical care and research program in Houston,” said Dr. Kent Osborne, director of the Smith Breast Center. "It has also provided funding to support our missions of research and community outreach, especially the underserved."
This year’s house is currently under construction in Memorial’s Hunters Creek Village. Designed by Hollenbeck Architects, the French country-style home is being constructed by Levitt Partnership. Landscaping by Strong Landscaping.
The 5,000-square-foot-home will feature a stone and stucco exterior with shutters, five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, two studies, three fireplaces, as well as a summer kitchen, playroom, three-car garage, game room, and dining room that opens up to a courtyard with a water feature. Unlike previous years, the home will not be built as a spec home. See all Pink Ribbon homes.
The home will be decorated by leading Houston interior designers including Valerie Cook, Julia Blailock, Rachel Reppond, Belinda Bennett, Lauren Amber Prestenbach, Christine Ho, Julie Dodson, Trisha Dodson, Leslie Sinclair, Amy Vonderau and Mollie Oshman.
Located at 10619 Fairlane Drive (77024), the home will be available for public tours on the weekends of April 27 and May 4.
Tour hours are Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door. Map to the house.

The Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine is a cornerstone of the Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine, which brings together research, patient care, education and outreach activities from BCM and its affiliated hospitals to advance the fight against this devastating disease. The Duncan Cancer Center has been named a designated cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, a significant milestone that opens the doors for additional funding to combat cancer. It is one of two NCI-designated centers in Houston.
