Mission Statement

The Department of Pharmacology is building in the areas of pharmacogenomics, chemical biology, protein design and engineering and computational chemistry. We offer a strong graduate program leading to a Ph.D. degree specializing in either pharmacology or molecular biology. We have research programs investigating drug discovery, design and delivery.

Education & Training Programs

The department's teaching program presents current information on drugs and their mechanisms of action. We participate in the training of graduate and medical students through core and elective course offerings. Our graduate program is designed to prepare students for competitive, independent careers in research.
