Mission Statement

The Department of Medicine will lead the discovery of tomorrow's medicine today, educate the future leaders of Internal Medicine, and provide compassionate care to our patients, while promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. The Department of Medicine is the largest department at Baylor College of Medicine. We have 787 faculty members in 18 departmental sections and centers who are dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and clinical care in internal medicine.
