Mission Statement

The Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Bone Disease Program of Texas is a collaborative research and clinical program of Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.

The program seeks to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all metabolic and genetic bone diseases. They include osteoporosis, osteomalacia, Paget’s disease, brittle bone diseases, and cancer metastases to bone. The program strives to translate basic science findings into more effective treatment and prevention options by providing research infrastructure, funding, and forums for clinicians and researchers interested in bone health.
